Problems that should be paid attention to in CNC machining of aluminum
Aluminum is the most commonly used basic material in our CNC machining. What problems should be paid attention to in processing aluminum in order to improve the yield?
The author believes that the most basic should pay attention to the following three points.
First, irresistible factors:
The stability of the machine itself.
If it is not used on a new machine, or if the machine is heavily machined without debugging, the machine itself will cause dimensional errors.
1.The errors of the machine tool are caused by the following factors:
(1) Mechanical aspects:
A.Servo motor and screws are loose.
B.Ball screw bearing or nut wear.
C. Insufficient lubrication between screws and nuts.
(2) Electrical aspects:
A.Servo motor failure.
B.There is dust in the scale.
C.Servo amplifier failure.
PMC can restore system parameters, so it is not mentioned.
2.CNC machining aluminum, the workpiece is cooled and deformed after machining.
This is basically inevitable. In the process of machining and on-site measurement, coolant should be used as much as possible, and attention should be paid to the deformation of the workpiece after cooling.
Second, avoidable factors:
(1)Processing technology: CNC machining
In fact, most of the actual machining errors are caused by unreasonable machining techniques on the basis of ensuring basic machining techniques (for example, milling CNC machining “roughing first and then finishing, first machining the end face and rear end face, first machining Large end face and then machine small end face”). Or use fixtures “to reduce clamping time, try using modular fixtures” and other basic machining technical details).
(2)Cut three elements:
Cutting speed vc, feed f, depth of cut AP and tool compensation are not very detailed. In short, on the premise of ensuring the machining quality and tool wear, the parameters are adjusted to give full play to the cutting performance of the tool, so that the cutting efficiency is the highest and the processing cost is the lowest. On CNC lathes, there are elements such as tool wear compensation.
(3)Numerical calculation in manual programming and automatic programming:
Calculation errors are also a common occurrence in manual programming, but most products are programmed automatically these days, so this part is just a hint, a word.
(4)CNC machined aluminum, accurate tool settings:
Inaccurate tool alignment is also a cause of dimensional errors, so try to choose a good edge finder, even better if the machine has automatic tool alignment. If you don’t have an edge finder, try cropping it, that’s the experience. The above is a summary of some factors that easily lead to CNC machining errors. We hope our partners will benefit from this.
